About the Public Works Department
The goal of the Eudora Public Works Department is to enhance the quality of life for all residents, businesses, and visitors of the City of Eudora through responsible and sound management, innovation, teamwork, vision, and to provide dependable, high-quality, responsive public works and utility services at reasonable costs.
The Public Works Department plays an important role in protecting the public's health and safety by providing clean drinking water, ensuring proper wastewater treatment, developing and maintaining the transportation system in the city, and managing stormwater. The department coordinates development through facility planning efforts and manages the construction of capital improvements, such as new roads, bridges, water mains, and sewer lines.
The Public Works Department will strive to construct, maintain, operate, and design public infrastructure in an efficient and effective manner. The Public Works Department will do that so the department can protect the public as well as enhance the quality of life for people who live in the City of Eudora.
The Public Works Department includes six divisions:

- Water
- Wastewater
- Stormwater
- Cemetery
